Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Honewood collects when you visit our store or place an order, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We keep it plain on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll explain it in normal language.
Who we are
Honewood is a trading name operated by Pedro Puchol Doblas (the "data controller"). You can reach us at:
- Email: support@honewood.com
- Postal: Avda Cervantes 12, 29016 Málaga, Spain
What we collect
- Order and contact details - your name, shipping and billing address, email, and phone number, so we can process and deliver your order and contact you about it.
- Payment information - handled securely by Shopify and our payment processors. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Account and communication data - messages you send us, support requests, and any reviews or survey responses you choose to share.
- Device and usage data - IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar information collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).
- Marketing preferences - whether you've opted in to email or SMS updates.
How we use it
- To process, fulfill, and deliver your orders, and to handle returns, refunds, and warranty claims.
- To provide customer support and respond to your questions.
- To send order and shipping notifications (these are service messages, not marketing).
- To send marketing emails or texts only if you've opted in - you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to keep the store secure.
- To understand how the store is used so we can improve it.
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
How our store is built (Shopify)
Our store is hosted on Shopify. Shopify provides the online platform that lets us sell to you and processes information on our behalf as a data processor. Data may be stored on secure servers, including servers located in the United States. When you buy something, Shopify collects the information needed to complete the purchase and stores it for our use. You can read Shopify's own privacy practices at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the store, and only for the purposes above:
- Payment processors (e.g. Shopify Payments, PayPal) to take payment.
- Our fulfillment and shipping partners to pack, ship, and track your order. Your product ships from a fulfillment partner, so your shipping details are shared with them to deliver your order.
- Email and messaging providers to send order updates and any marketing you've opted in to.
- Analytics providers to help us understand site usage.
- Authorities or advisors where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies that make the store work (your cart, checkout, security). These can't be switched off.
- Analytics cookies that tell us how the store is used.
- Marketing cookies that measure our ads and help show relevant ones.
You can control non-essential cookies through the cookie banner (where shown) or your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the store works.
How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to fulfill your order and to meet our legal and tax obligations (typically several years). We keep marketing data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal information:
- Access a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct information that's wrong or out of date.
- Delete your data, where we're not required to keep it.
- Object to or restrict certain uses.
- Opt out of marketing at any time.
California residents: Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. To exercise these rights, email us at the address above. We won't discriminate against you for exercising them.
EEA and UK residents: Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data under the lawful bases of performing our contract with you (to fulfill orders), your consent (for marketing), and our legitimate interests (to run and secure the store). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@honewood.com. We'll respond within the time required by the law that applies to you, and may need to verify your identity first.
Children
Honewood is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our store or the law changes. We'll post the new version here with an updated date. Material changes will be made clear.
